The Prince Harry and Meghan Markle drama continued into the weekend as it was in clear if the Sussexes would be attending a pre-funeral reception at Buckingham Palace on the eve of Queen Elizabeth II’s funeral. 

There were conflicting reports about whether the Duke and the duchess would attend the Sunday evening reception.

According to the Telegraph, palace officials insist that the reception hosted by King Charles III and Queen Consort Camilla is only for working royals and that they have now been removed from the event.

According to Yahoo New UK, the reception for working members of the royal family is still going to happen.

The line to pay respects to Queen Elizabeth II continues even after a 24 hour wait.

The Vice President of China will attend the funeral of the queen. He will represent the president.

The visit has caused controversy as some British legislators have expressed concern that the Chinese government were even invited to the funeral.

Human rights abuses in the treatment of the Uyghur ethnic group should lead to the revocation of the invitation to the funeral.
