Vicky Cornell Opens Up About Chris Cornell’s Death – It’s Important to Talk About the Cause

The death of Chris Cornell came as a huge shock to his family. The wife of a man who died by suicide opened up about her husband’s death during an appearance on a talk show.

The musician died by suicide while on tour with Soundgarden. His widow said that she and her two children still talk about him, even though he died unexpectedly.

Chris was not depressed or suffering from suicidal thoughts. Chris was in recovery, and he had been on a prescription drug. It was a very traumatic kind of loss because it came from nowhere.

The levels of drugs in the rocker’s system were not high enough to have contributed to his death. She thinks it’s important to figure out the cause of the tragedy because she believes they played a part in it.

She said that she knew the cause because she was on the phone with Chris. After the show, he called me and said he wasn’t right. He sounded like he was high, he was confused, and his speech was slurred. Thirty minutes later, that was it.

Knowing the cause of a loved one’s death helps to accept it.

It can’t just be ‘Oh, they died by suicide’ They are their own people. “Alright, but why?” she asked. Why did it happen? What can we do to stop? That is a big part of prevention and healing.

She stressed that there are no rules for healing from a tragedy and that therapy and conversations with mental health and addiction specialists were part of the grieving process.
