What do you get when you get a bunch of people together? It’s a self-proclaimed No. 1 Fleetwood Mac tribute.
Scott McDonald said it all started with a friend.
He said that a mutual friend of theirs saw all of them in different projects and suggested that they do a tribute. One day, we said, ‘Why don’t we try it?’ after kicking the idea around for a bit. We are here and it will be fun.
Since the mutual friend set them up, they have toured for nearly 14 years. The Paramount Theatre in Anderson will host them at 7:30 pm. There is a date on September 30.
McDonald couldn’t remember if they’ve ever been to Anderson, but they’re excited to visit.
We’re really looking forward to it.” We are looking forward to going to a place for the first time.
Fans will be able to listen to some of their favorites. The show is limited to the hits but with some surprises. The show has lights and other visual effects.
He said that in the 70’s, they were known for their powerful performance, which they try to copy. McDonald plays a Rick Turner Model One like Lindsey Buckingham plays one.
He said “The Chain,” “Rhiannon” and “Go Your Own Way.” McDonald loves the diversity of the songs. Listeners get a glimpse into the writer’s personality with each song.
I enjoy listening to their music. You get different types of songs. Lindsey has a guitar-based song. StevieNicks has ethereal lyrics. He said that Christine wrote well- arranged pop songs.
McDonald said having fun is what keeps them out there.
The restrictions brought the tour to a halt. It was possible to compensate by doing drive-in and limited seating jobs.
We were able to survive because we are a bussiness. People we were friends with struggled with that. We were fortunate. I don’t know how long we would have been able to survive if it continued for a long time.
Audiences have been making up for lost entertainment due to the easing of restrictions. He said audiences have been excited to come out and enjoy. He was excited about the fact that things have been returning to normal.
