The Les Paul Special was released for Rick Beato.
The double-cutaway guitar is based on Beato’s favourite guitars, the TV Yellow Les Paul Special and the Blue Les Paul Standard. The Les Paul Special DC’s weight is reduced to a comfortable 7.2 pounds due to the thinner body.
A Graph Tech nut, single-ply cream binding, and a specially-designed heel enable easy access to the upper frets of the accompanying neck.
The guitar has a bridge with a stopbar tailpiece, vintage tuners, and a black pickguard. Two P-90 pickups with individual volume and tone controls are wired to a three way pickup selector switch.
The TV Blue Mist finish on the signature model contributes to the guitar’s modest weight through its use of No Grain Filler. Beato’s signature can be seen on the truss rod cover.
Beato first teased the guitar in his New Year’s Eve livestream, where he admitted to being approached by a representative from Gibson about a possible signature model, and then announced his endorsement with the guitar titans. He said that he would like to have a Les Paul Special DC like his TV Yellow one. As of a few weeks ago, I am now an endorser of the company.
In April 2021, Beato gave his followers their first look at the signature axe when he posted pictures of the guitar on his account.

Beato, whose channel has 3.14 million subscribers, is not the first endorsee who is not an artist or affiliated with an established act. In 2007, the brand released a goldtop version of the ES-336 model as a signature guitar for the star of the show.
