There is a guitar solo by the late Darrell Dimebag in the 2005 nickelback song side of a bullet.

He suggested the Canadian band use some of the unused material.

There was a close friendship between the two groups and the lyrics of Side of a Bullet were written from the perspective of a Pantera fan.

Rita Haney gave permission for Pantera to send a number of outtakes from their albums to nickelback.

Mike said that they were our brothers. We wanted to honor him after he was murdered. We were able to get some of his unused solo and a few other bits of his playing that we would actually lay into the track.

Alice In Chains guitarist Jerry Cantrell introduced the two bands to each other.

Many people didn’t like the fact that they were friends with us or fans of our music The metal world can be a bit intense. They just wanted to be friends with us because they liked what we did.

Kid Rock appeared on the soundtrack of Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle, as well as on the cover of the song ‘Saturday Night’s Alright (For Fighting)’.

The first single from Nickelback’s new album, ‘Get Rollin”, was released.

In August of 2021, the four-piece confirmed that they were working on a new record and that it would be their first album in two years.

The band said that they have spent the last few years making a record at a pace that gave them the freedom to create. We missed the fans but we are going to bring the new songs to life on stage.
