<div>'My passion': Orangeburg teen's acting success story began as 3-year-old</div>

Patrick “PJ” Hubbard Jr. is unafraid to take on challenges, even those in the acting realm where he has worked with several stars.

He wanted to act since he was 3 years old. He said it allowed him to show a side of himself that a lot of people don’t see.

Since I was a small child, acting has been my passion. My parents enroll me in an acting program. It grew from there.

I try to entertain people at a younger age. I thought I could do that when I watched people on TV. It grew from there because I joined AMTC. He said that he went there for close to a year to learn how to be a performer.

Entertainers are always entertaining on TV. I was drawn to acting because I wanted to be like that.

Patrick and Monique Hubbard have a child named PJ. They relocated to California to allow their son to pursue his acting career after receiving training at the AMTC in Charlotte.

Charlotte Mecklenburg Library and the Children’s Theater of Charlotte collaborated to create the Joe and Joan Martin center. The center is 102,000 square feet.

I started with Fox Sports Kids. I went to How to Get Away with Murder when I was 7 years old after doing Fox Sports Kids. PJ began around 6.

“How to Get Away with Murder” was an American legal thriller television series that starred St. Matthews native Viola Davis and was also where PJ got to work with the late actress.

The experience of working with Ms. Tyson was unforgettable because she is a pioneer of acting for people of colour. She told me that I was going to go far and that stuck with me.

In the TV Land series “Teachers,” which followed the lives, interactions and challenges of six female teachers at the fictional Millard Fillmore Elementary School in suburban Chicago, as well as in the film “Mad Families,” where three families compete for a camping spot during a busy time, the teen has also

PJ played Ron Ron Jr., the son of actors Tiffany Haddish andLil Rel Howery, in the movie ” Mad Families.”

Being on the set of Mad Families was enjoyable. There were a lot of great people on the set. Tiffany Haddish did a great job with the kids. PJ said that she was funny and professional at the same time.

At the 2016 ESPY Awards, the teen, who has also done voiceover work, was joined by actor and comedian Ben Schwartz. He presented at the kids choice awards.

Jace Norman, who played Kid Danger in Henry Danger, was given an award by PJ.

During the Super Bowl, he starred in a Buick ad with a professional football player.

In the commercial, I turned into a person named CamNewton. PJ was excited.

Mrs Hubbard said, “That one was pretty funny because when he went to try out for that Buick commercial, we had no idea it was for a Superbowl commercial.” We found out when he was booked for it. We didn’t know what the concept was until we arrived. We were not sure what to say.

PJ moved back to Orangeburg with his family. He is in a short film called “GraceLand” that was filmed in Charleston with South Carolina natives. Coleman is from the state of South Carolina.

The story was about a little girl named Grace who thought she was the reincarnation of Elvis. She did her thing, dancing, singing and doing things. The teenager said that she was good at it.

She did a great job because she believed she could do what Elvis did.

The only people who supported her were the teacher and her mother. The driving story of ‘Graceland’ was that one.

PJ said being a good actor requires both skills.

You have to be able to pick up on what other people are doing. You have to be able to empathise with things that can happen in real life. He said that you have to bring emotion to things that are dramatic.

PJ won the Best Overall Child Male actor at an AMTC talent showcase in Florida, as well as second place in the child modeling competition, when he was just 5 years old.

Mrs Hubbard said, “That is how he got his agent in California.” The year we moved to California was that one.

PJ is managed by Entertainment Lab, which is located in L.A.

Recently, I have been doing a lot of auditioning. You can always do them at home because they are self- taking. I just went out for a lot of roles and did a lot of auditioning. He said that he keeps practicing with his acting.

He has participated in the Junior Orangeburg Part-Time Players as well as relocating to Orangeburg.

He played George Banks in the theater musical production of “Mary Poppins Jr.” in 2021, and he played Oliver Warbucks in the production of “Annie Jr.” in Orangeburg.

The Junior Orangeburg Part-Time Players are the youth that are in the program. He said that he got to hone his theater acting ability, as well as characterization and musical skills, while working with Ms. Mitzi and the rest of the crew.

He said that he had to get into the character for both of those because he had to be a father.

PJ is a student at William J. Clark Middle school. He is an ambassador for Junior Achievement.

I enjoy science and reading. My family and friends know that I am the one who blurts out random fun facts about animals and the world. I would love to do meteorology as well. He said that he likes debating with people and that’s a subject that he focuses on in ELA.

The teen is fond of writing. I was writing a novel for two years. I have been looking at that narrative writing more and more.

He likes fishing, playing the piano, crocheting, playing video games, and hanging out with his family in his free time.

I made a cardigan a while ago. I continued crocheting after taking up the activity during the show. Recently, I picked up knitting. He loves doing things with his hands.

The arts are always close to his interests.

PJ wants to be in a theatrical play that is more like a musical.

Both of them are pretty much the same. Musical theater is a great way to combine both of them. He loves those two things and is passionate about them.

His parents have supported him throughout his acting career.

When I moved out to California with my parents to pursue acting, they were the biggest support of all. They’ve been so busy. Everyone in my family supported me. PJ said that he knew his family was behind him when they were on the social media.

According to the Hubbards, their son has always been outgoing and driven to fulfill his goals.

It’s an expression of pride. He is the person that we are proud of. Mrs Hubbard said that seeing him get the opportunities and be blessed with the opportunities that he has is a blessing.

Her husband said that they have seen kids acting in other places. When PJ was 3 years old, he told us that he wanted to be a fireman.

To be able to commit time and finances and invest in his career and to see him bloom and make some money feels good. For the most part, we enjoy seeing that he is balanced.

He has done a lot in comparison to his younger children. PJ has done a lot, some kids just focus on Nickelodeon, or they want to be on this or that, but PJ’s done a lot. He did some voice work. He is still doing voice overs. There are a lot of people auditioning.

Mrs Hubbard said that he has always been outgoing and has never been afraid to be on stage. Growing up, people will say, “I’m scared to present or be in front of people” A lot of people have that fear, but he never had it.
