It can be difficult to master the art of playing an instrument. This is something that 11-year-old Oskar Gladysz has always done.
The Derby youngster, who moved from Germany to Littleover just last October, has only been playing the guitar for around three years but has already made a lasting impression on Foulds Guitar owner.
He was 50 years old when he was born, so he was too late to be a fan of IronMaiden. Lukasz said that his son is playing all the time.

He plays old-school rock because he loves Judas Priest. It would be a dream to see any of his videos.
He started playing the violin when he was four years old. His dad tried to get his son to start playing the guitar but he wasn’t very enthusiastic at first.
At four years old, he started playing the violin. The first instrument was that one. He was not interested in paying for the guitar.
We got him a guitar three years ago when he got interested in electric guitars. He’s been playing all day long since then. He woke up at 5 am to play when he got it.
Wherever he plays, attention is drawn to him. The youngster busked in Barcelona before an Iron Maiden concert, and big crowds filmed and cheered him on.
Despite his talent and hard work, Lukasz and Oscar’s mother don’t have a lot of ambition for him.
If you meet him, you’ll see he is very shy, but the way he transforms himself on stage after one or two is what my biggest dream is for him. It’s a good way for him to express himself.
Derby High School’s outstanding music department was the reason they chose it. He gets a one-hour lesson a week to help correct his techniques and solidify his understanding of music theory.
One of the best things about Oskar is that he was able to learn on his own. You can train on a website where you can read and listen to different songs. My wife and I don’t play any instruments, but he has a talent for it.
At some point, the learning curve exploded and I couldn’t catch up with him, even though I tried. He was given a speaker that you could connect your phone to. He got a big boost in his learning curve because of the app where you can mute the guitar, so it’s like you’re in a band.
