

During Queen Elizabeth II’s funeral, about 15% of the flights at London’s Heathrow Airport will be changed. In order to avoid noise at certain locations on Monday, operations to and from the airport will have to be changed.
British Airways will be canceling about 50 short-haul flights today. The airline said that it will use larger planes to accommodate passengers on the routes that are being canceled. The carrier doesn’t think long-haul flights will be canceled. During a private family service, flights will be diverted around Windsor Castle.
Arrival and departure times were paused from 11:40 a.m. The time is 12 noon to noon. During a moment of silence and during the procession of the queen’s hearse, the time was changed from 1:45 to 2:30. During the procession to Windsor Castle, departures will be on hold.
Four flights from the airport in Los Angeles and San Francisco will be canceled by Virgin Atlantic. Virgin Atlantic apologized and thanked customers for their understanding during the solemn occasion for the United Kingdom and the Commonwealth.
