Katie Couric and Daughter Carrie Monahan Attend Markarian’s Fashion Show

A mother and daughter went to a fashion show at the Ukrainian Institute of America. Both looked very chic in long Markarian dresses, with Couric wearing an orange-and-white gingham shantung asymmetric dress.

There was a fashion show for the first time. The clothes were pretty, especially the big black and pink ones. Older models and models who weren’t skinny made me happy. She said that everyone looked great.

Carrie wore a Markarian dress when she was the maid of honor at her sister’s wedding, according to Couric. There was a Markarian dress for the reception. They were both big fans.

When they were invited to the show, Carrie was really excited. They were nice enough to dress us and seat us in the front row, but I was the annoying chaperone.

The setting was pretty and seemed appropriate for the flowy, ultra-feminine clothes that we wore. Couric is the author of a memoir called ” Going There” and publishes a daily newsletter called “Wake Up Call” She was fond of the diversity of models who were used, especially silver-haired model Rachel Waller, who is in her sixties.

A lot has been written about the topics of fame by proxy, sleep-away camp in the American imagination, and cyberbullies in the last few months. The messed-up world of New York City private schools is the subject of a series she is currently writing.

Anna Baryshnikov was one of the people in Markarians front row.
