The recovery space is wide and far. It’s a good idea to massage guns. The foam rollers are made of foam. The boots are called recovery boots. There are many tools and devices that can be used to relieve those post- workout pains. There’s always something missing when it comes to the style of these fitness accessories.
What if there was a recovery tool that was not from a hardware store? Kane is taking active relief to a new level. The brand’s Revive Active Recovery Shoes feature an injection-molded silhouette with a slew of post-workout components designed to help you replenish your toes after a long run.
I wore these slip-ons for a number of weeks to see if they really kicked my recovery regimen into high gear. When I came home from the gym, completing a few cool down laps around the track, running errand or just lounging about the house, I had these sneakers on to see if they could be used as a recovery tool. I found what I was looking for.

What’s Good About the Kane Revive Active Recovery Shoes?
The slip-on profile cuts down the time (and effort) of changing shoes post-workout.
I believe that running shoes and gym shoes should only be worn in their environments, so I wear a pair of street shoes to and from training sessions. I don’t want to untie my sneakers and re-lace my kicks if I just completed a multi-mile run or a taxing leg day. I completely forgot my thoughts with the Kane Revives. I really enjoyed slipping into them after a hard day’s work, and the pull-string at the heel made me feel better.
Cut-out holes across the upper allowed my tired feet to breathe and cool off. It was difficult to ignore the improved air flow in my shoes.

The renewable RestoreFoam is a balanced, cushioned base that’s easy to pick up — or kick up.
You don’t want your footwear to be heavy or cumbersome when you want to relax. Getting home from a training session or walking around after a workout shouldn’t be hard. The Kane Revive’s sole was light and easy to move around in.

The dual-density construction was a nice touch, offering up a balanced feel that was cozy, yet still allowed for me to feel the raised foot bed. I was able to get a sense of the bumps on my feet without too much stress.

What’s Less Than Ideal About the Kane Revive Active Recovery Shoes?
Extended wear can lead to some blistering and squeaking.
I really liked the traction of the Kane Revives, but am I suggesting you sign up for all day foot recovery? It is not possible to say yes. I noticed some rubbing around my ankle when I wore these slip-ons around my house and ran a few errand in town. The fabric-based sneaker doesn’t have the same forgiveness as the rubber upper. The sleek, anatomical design of the shoe promotes excellent security in the heel and midfoot, but that support can turn to constriction after wearing them for a long period of time.
For those with neutral or high arches, it’s a good idea to consider the fact that these shoes will sometimes make noise. If you have enough room between your arch and the footbed, you can create an air pocket and use that air to make your stride louder. I don’t think your patrons on the sidewalk or in the grocery store would like the sound of your footsteps.

Sorry, but these don’t replace more engaging recovery disciplines.
I enjoyed the slight relief they gave me after training, and the raised footbed nodes were present in each step. I don’t think these options will replace my rollers or massage gun in the near future. If my feet ache, I’m not going to rely on the Kane Revives for relief, I’m going to use a more active recovery method.
I know that everyone’s needs are different, so these kicks may be enough to get you through the day. When I’m able to engage in a rolling regimen or massage gun cool-down, these will be the best way to bridge the gap between the actual training session and these. stagnant nodes aren’t going to penetrate the muscles as deep as other methods

Kane Revive Active Recovery Shoes: The Verdict
These are excellent post-training sneakers that are worth adding to your wardrobe. If I’m being completely honest, the Kane Revives are a lot more stylish than a pair of slides or other footwear.
