The Sex Pistols have been accused of “cashing in” on the death of the Queen.

The vocalist of the band wants to distance himself from the former punks due to the increase of commercial activity surrounding their 1977 hit God Save The Queen.

The Sex Pistols want to cash in on the death of Queen Elizabeth II. A number of requests against John’s wishes have been approved by the musicians and their management.

The timing for endorsing any Sex Pistols requests for commercial gain in connection with God Save The Queen is tasteless and disrespectful to the Queen and her family.

While John has never supported the monarchy, he feels that the family deserves some respect in this difficult time, as would be expected for any other person or family when someone close to them has died.

The statement was responded to by a spokesman for The Sex Pistols.

They say they can’t understand what he’s talking about. There are only a few requests for use of imagery or audio in news reports on The Queen and her impact on culture.

The singer spoke of the monarchy-bashing tune earlier this year.

He told the world during an appearance on Piers Morgan Uncensored. I don’t think I’m against the royal family as a person.

He said he was proud of the Queen for surviving and doing well. I don’t think I’m a bad person about that.

“I just think that if I’m paying my tax money to support this system I should have a say in how it’s spent,” he said.
