It will be the first state funeral in the U.K. in 50 years. Princess Diana’s funeral in 1997 was billed as a “Royal Ceremonial Funeral”, despite the Queen requesting a State Funeral for Churchill.

Only family members will attend the committal service at Windsor Castle. The public won’t be able to watch the Queen’s funeral.
