Designers don’t design with bigger bodies in mind While small progress has been made, like some representation of all body types on the runways and a slow expansion in sizes sold, a lot of brands are still firm in their decision not to increase their sizing Despite the fact that the average woman in the United States is a size 16, designers don’t want to offer a large range of sizes because they don’t want to offend customers.
As a size 10 woman who yo-yos in weight a lot, it is interesting to navigate when building a wardrobe. Some brands know how to fit curves. I spoke to a woman who is a size 18 and serves looks. She buys a few brands.
Fe Noel pays homage to the designer’s birthplace, Grenada, with airy vacation looks, but she has recently been expanding into more tailored everyday pieces with the same craftsmanship found in her luxury resort items. Fe Noel can be found at shopbop.com.

Muhumuza said that he was in awe of Fe Noel’s work and craft after seeing her runway show. She puts a lot of effort into the designs. Every piece is a favorite, but this one in particular is very special. The size is raised to 14.
The Brand Label includes crop tops with feathers and pants with feathers. The Brand Label is rich in colors and goes up to a 4XL. Muhumuza says that they offer beautiful silhouettes and snug fit.

They moved to Bombay in 2010 to explore their roots. They were inspired to start their own brand, NorBlack NorWhite, because they were exposed to the different craftsmanship of their culture.

Anifa Mvuemba may be getting her flowers now, but she always thought of inclusive size when she launched Hanifa. Her brand increases by 3X.

We both own a lot of the same favorite brands, like Hanifa, Fumi the Label, and Fe Noel, all of which have a signature piece in my wardrobe. I love some brands that don’t extend their sizes past a 14 or 16 but they fit my curves and are great for my size 10 body.
In order to make sure the fit was just right, Miaou collaborated with model Paloma Elsesser. The brand makes sexy clothes for curves from its signature corsets to miniskirts. On any day, I would slip one of Miaou’s.

$195 is the price.
The Australian brand was founded in 2008 and plays with lots of cutout silhouettes. The blazers and corsets in the collection fit well with my large hip proportion and small waist.

In 2009, Lieberman created A.L.C. At New York Fashion Week, I wore this top with cargo pants and got a lot of praise. The brand’s pieces are flattering and conform to curves. A.L.C. is well-known for its pleats.

For trendy pieces that I want to add my own flair to, I prefer to shop at ASOS, a store that has been around for a long time. I always like its wide-leg pants and outerwear at an affordable price point.

$46 is all.
Rouhi is a U.K.-based brand that believes in being a “unique composite of experiences, moods, colors and creations.” After seeing it, I fell in love with it. Rouhi recently expanded into a plus-size collection, and I got the oversized blazer of my dreams from the brand.
