Where will Queen Elizabeth’s funeral be held?
The ancient church of Westminster Abbey is the traditional location for elite weddings and funerals. The State Gun Carriage of the Royal Navy will carry her body to the Abbey.
What will happen at Queen Elizabeth’s funeral service?
The Orb and the Scepter are symbols of the reign of the Queen. The newly crowned King Charles III will lead the procession, followed by the rest of Elizabeth’s children, uniformed troops, and then the palace staff. They will go through the crowd to pay their respects. Other high-ranking officials, relatives, and favored members of the palace make up the majority of the 2,000 people at the Abbey. The national anthem will be played at the end of the ceremony.
After the service, the coffin will be moved to the Royal Hearse.
Where will Queen Elizabeth be buried?
The hearse will take the casket to St. George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle. King George VI and Queen Elizabeth are also buried here. Her sister Princess Margaret is next to them. It will be taken via the Long Walk. There will be a portion of the event that is not open to the public.
What time is Queen Elizabeth’s funeral?
At 6:30 a.m., the doors to the hall close. It’s Monday in the U.K. and time to prepare. At 8 a.m., invited guests will be allowed in. There are two minutes of silence at the end of the service to mark the conclusion of the procession. The private part of the ceremony will be held later that night.

In the United Kingdom and the United States, there will be live broadcasts of the events, but in PBS’s case, the coverage will start at 4 a.m.
