Former President Donald Trump (Finally) Gets Invite To Queen Elizabeth II’s Memorial Service

Donald Trump was invited to a memorial service for the late monarch in Washington D.C. after not being invited to the Queen’s funeral.

The only people invited to the funeral in London were the president and his wife. According to The Independent, all living former US presidents were invited to the service, which will be held at the Washington National Cathedral.

None of the former presidents have said if they will attend the memorial service in Washington.

The Bidens are going to the UK. President Biden is going to attend the Queen’s funeral before meeting the U.K.’s new prime minister.

The invitations to the Queen’s funeral sparked controversy overseas, as it was unclear if only the sitting president would receive an invite, or if the invitation would also extend to former presidents.

It was thought that President Biden would have to invite his predecessors. Jake Tapper said on “The Lead” that “it’s going to be left up to President Biden as to whether or not he brings other presidents with him to theQueen’s funeral.”

The invitation was only given to the US government for the President and the First Lady.

Helicopters and private state cars have been banned from transportation to the Queen’s funeral, as foreign officials have been asked to travel by commercial planes and share buses. Biden is one of the few people who can travel in his limo.

The foreign ambassador asked if he could imagine Biden on the bus. Biden is being requested by other foreign leaders.
