Electric cars leave us at the government’s mercy | Letters

America is losing its independence, mobility and travel freedom. I can go as far as I want in my car. I can travel from Maine to Mexico and back if I want. If my trip is dependent on a plug-in electric vehicle, I can’t go faster without other factors.

There are rolling power cuts in California. They can even tell you how warm or cold your home can be. Government and utility providers can decide how much power you get.

It won’t work if Americans think we can save the Earth by driving electric vehicles. There are a lot of inherent issues. independence is defined by gasoline. Politicians who think they are smart are dependent on electricity.

If I run out of gas I can either walk to the next station or bring some to me. Someone is going to bring me an electric charge. I can’t imagine traveling hundreds of miles through the grandeur of Montana, Wyoming, the Dakotas and not knowing how long my last charging session will last.

If everyone had an electric car, that would be one more thing. Fast forward to tomorrow. One of the most frequently used phrases across the land will be, “What?” You forgot to plug it in.

It will be too late at that time.

If Trump has a case, tapes should be used.

Donald Trump’s use of dog whistles allows him to engage with and anger his political base.

Over the last five years, he has used two tropes, “fake news” and “witch hunt” He now has something called invasion. The FBI invaded his home in Florida in order to search for documents that the Justice Department said he had no right to have. According to Trump, the FBI agents were ruthless in their attempts to get the documents.

Warner Wolf said “Let’s go to the videotape” when a play was in question.

I think the Mar-a-Lago home has closed circuit monitoring. Let’s see if he can prove that the FBI “invaded” his house. The retired Wolf once said, “Let’s go to the videotape.”

The public can see if the FBI acted disrespectfully as they carried out their mission.
