Three new academic programs are added by the university.

Three new degree options are available to students at the university.

A Bachelor of Arts degree in global sports and culture, a Bachelor of Science degree in computer science, or a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology can be pursued by students.

A new global sports and culture major was added by the university to help students understand how sports can shape or alter one’s personal identity, and how one’s personal sports identity can help bridge gaps caused by race, gender or class. There is a love for sports shared by many students in the degree and it will use their interests as a vehicle for learning and retention.

The sports psychology concentration is for people who want to improve their performance in recreation, fitness, exercise and sports related settings.

The global sports and culture degree program and the sports psychology concentration represent new efforts to offer interdisciplinary coursework that backs the University’s commitment to athletic excellence. The goal is to use students’ interests as a lens through which knowledge, inquiry and cultural exploration are presented. Sports studies as a science, a business, a part of culture and a part of social science will be included in completing both.

The concentration of the computer science major in UAS technology caters to students who want to become leaders in the burgeoning industry of drones in a number of established fields.

The global sports and culture major is available at the school of arts-sciences.

The U.S. News & World Report once again ranked Heidelberg very high.

The university has stood out in social mobility and teaching categories.

The Midwest Regional Universities category was ranked 19th in the U.S. News & World Report survey on social mobility. In the same region, Heidelberg is ranked as the 8th best undergraduate teaching.

The Social Mobility category is used to measure how well colleges and universities graduate students who receive federal grants. The graduation rates of Pell-awarded students and graduate rate performance are two factors that are used to rank social mobility.

Heidelberg invests in opportunities for its students to succeed as they pursue their higher education goals.

The commitment of the faculty to undergraduate education is demonstrated by the ranking of the best undergraduate teaching. The annual U.S. News peer assessment made a strong statement about the quality of classroom instruction at Heidelberg.

The rankings are useful to prospective students because they rate the strength of an institution’s academic programs

The Owen Center is a centralized location for services and resources for students. The center provides individual and group tutoring, as well as time management and study skills coaching. Owen Center prepares students to explore and establish connections for post-graduate goals through career management advising, workshops, and network focused events.

Expansion of internship and career placement opportunities are included in the list of prioritized academic programs. A test-optional admission and scholarships are offered by the University. Students who think their test scores improve their application need to submit their results. The fixed tuition guarantee and the four-year graduation guarantee are available to students.

The Rural Post-Secondary and Economic Development (RPSED) grant provides a clear pathway for students from rural communities to pursue a college degree at Heidelberg. More access to College Credit Plus courses for rural students is provided by the grant, as well as admission to a community college and completion of a four-year degree, thanks to the grant.

Scholarship assistance, along with grants and other financial aid opportunities, helps students bridge the gap between their family’s resources and the cost of attending college

The best regional universities in the Midwest were given high marks by U.S. News.

The regional universities category was placed by U.S. News instead of the regional colleges category. A full range of undergraduate and graduate programs can be found at regional universities. Regional Colleges give less than half of their degrees in liberal arts. Some institutions that only give a small number of degrees are included in the category.

The bachelor of arts, bachelor of science, bachelor of music, bachelor of nursing and bachelor of business degrees are available at Heidelberg.
