There was a fan in Queen Elizabeth ll.
In a new interview, Matt Smith, who played Prince Philip in the hit series, revealed that Her Royal Majesty watched the show before she died.
During his Thursday appearance on the “Today” show, the actor said that he met the King Charles III and the Prince Harry at the Polo.
He walked up to me and said he watched the show. Apparently the Queen used to watch it on a projector on a Sunday night.
The British royal, who died last week at the age of 96, was said to have been a fan of the show.
Smith said that the Duke of Edinburgh didn’t bother to watch.
A friend of mine sat next to him at a dinner and asked him a question. Philip asked my friend if he made The Crown.
By the end of the meal he asked Philip if he had watched “The Crown”. Philip apparently turned around to him and told him not to be silly.
At one point, Smith met Prince William and he offered him a few acting tips.
During an appearance on The GrahamNorton Show in 2016 he said that he met William at a polo. The lady who was doing the lineup said Matt was going to play Prince Philip. She asked, “Have you got any advice for him?”.
The actor said he thought he was going to die. William said, ‘legend.’ He’s an absolute legend.
Prince Harry admitted to watching some shows.
They do not pretend to be a news source. During his appearance on The Late Late Show With James Corden, the Duke of Sussex said that it was a fictional show.
It is not based on the truth. It is not strictly accurate, but it gives you a rough idea of what that lifestyle is like.
Harry said, “I am more comfortable with ‘The Crown’ than I am with any of the stories written about my family or my wife.” There is a real issue with that.
The sixth season of “The Crown” was paused out of respect for the Queen.
“‘The Crown’ is a love letter to her and I’ve nothing to add for now, just silence and respect,” creator Peter Morgan told Deadline last week. We are expected to stop filming out of respect.
The upcoming season will feature a new incarnation of the late Queen, who will be played by Harry Potter’s Imelda Staunton.
