Two minutes of silence will be observed across the United Kingdom at the end of Queen Elizabeth II’s state funeral on Monday.
There will be a state funeral for the queen who died at age 96.
The coffin of King Charles III’s mother will lie in state for 15 minutes at the Houses of Parliament on Friday evening. Charles, Princess Anne, Prince Andrew, and Prince Edward stood by the coffin as it lay in a cathedral.
After the state funeral, attended by some 2,000 guests, including visiting heads of state and other dignitaries, Elizabeth’s coffin will be transported through the historic heart of London on a horse-drawn gun carriage, with Charles and other royals walking behind.
The committal service will take place at St. George’s Chapel near Windsor Castle, where the coffin will be lowered into the Royal Vault and the piper will play a song.
The queen will be buried with her husband, Prince Philip, in the King George VI Memorial Chapel.
