7 Highlights From New York Fashion Week

It’s fashion month. New York Fashion Week started in a flash. The week-long event featured hundreds of runway shows from blockbuster names to independent designers.

There are runway shows everywhere from the Brooklyn Museum to Spring Studios. The February edition of runway shows were mostly canceled due to the Omicron variant, but the fashion crowd brought it to this fashion week.

There are seven highlights from NYFW.

There is a man named Renacio.

An inspiring display of dream-inspired dresses and garments that swept away the audience was put on by the couture brand Renacio by Carlos Reyes. The story of a little girl who goes to sleep and sees what she dreams of is the subject of the title.

The show is inspired by dreams and nightmares.

In one piece, a large box opens at the heart of the wearer, with the words “Saltare” and “death” written on the shoulders. There is an image of a ballerina in the box, it is from a short film made in 1945. The box has the phrase, “Le disco a besoin de vous” (the dance needs you).

The choice between death and dance is depicted in the whole thing. To be bored or to be joyful. The journey of the unicorns is to choose to dance.

There is a Punk Majesty.

The eco fashion brand P u nk Majesty has empowering phrases on its pieces. It is also known for its high fashion and streetwear styles. The ethos of the brand is that of empowerment for all genders, races, and orientations, according to the founder of the brand. The brand offers studded motorcycle jackets and chic blazers for their fall showcase. The brand is anti-fast and has been worn by a number of people.

The Runway of Dreams is a movie.

The Runway of Dreams Foundation is a charity that promotes inclusion and change in the fashion industry for people with disabilities. adaptive clothing and footwear were on display. Over 60 models with varying disabilities and background walked the runway with the latest fashion from Target, JC Penney, Steve Madden, and more, which use easy zippers and magnets for clothing closure to allow people with disabilities to easily maneuver fashionable items. It was hosted by the first adaptive instructor at Peloton, and was titled A Fashion Revolution, and it was presented by Kohl’s.

Baggallini is named after a woman.

At New York Fashion Week, Baggallini introduced their Fall 2022, a collection of travel bags. Their latest campaign was shot in New York City and features models from 9 a.m. to 5 a.m.

The brand is known for their durable, practical and functional bags, from their Modern Pocket crossbody bags, to their tote bags and stylish backpacks, in Dark Cherry, helping New York women get their morning coffee, rush onto the subway and even bring these bags on a plane as carry on luggage.

“This campaign celebrates the multidimensional woman on-the-go and how our bags show up to support her on her daily journey with style and ease,” said Alison Muench, Head of Brand Marketing for Baggallini and Creative Director. New York City was the perfect location to showcase our fall collection. If our bags can make it there, then they will make it anywhere.

Concept of Korea.

For the past 12 years, Concept Korea is an official program at New York. As part of a global fashion program hosted by the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism and organized by the Korea Creative Content Agency, the aim is to promote Korean fashion designers as they break into the western market. Yeonjun of TXT and Kim Tae-ri wore buzzy brands from the Spring/Summer 2023 collections of BESFXXK, Cahiers and Ul:KIN. D4M $loan, Min, and Ezee all walked looks on the runway.

Their Victorian-style windbreaker with a long, Versailles-esque train stole the show as they showcased pinstripe fabrics with khaki trench coats. There are long, ruffled dresses that are perfect to wear in the Spanish countryside of Toledo. Fishnets are a key component for the new collection, which is inspired by magnet fishing, with olive-hued vests, zippers, and mesh, and symbolizes the underwater world.

The Blonds are a group of people.

The Blonds came back to NYFW with a new collection. The collection featured retro 1970s inspired items that were bright in gold, yellow, and orange.

The designers say their summer in New York City was filled with excess style and memories of the hot nights where Philippe and David bond over their love for dance music. The Blonds: Glamour Fashion Fantasy is out October 11.

Disco Inferno and 14N1.

The hip hop community arrived for the runway show called More Fashion, Less Gun Violence, in the heart of New York City’s housing projects, Robert S. Fulton Residences.

Vin Rock walked the runway for the show, co-presented by Disco Inferno, a brand founded by A$AP Illz, and 14N1. DJ Whoo Kid, Ayleks, Bobby Nice, Jay Gwaupo, and more have all been dressed by the brand.

Illz said that the brand was based on Dante’s Inferno and the nine circles of hell colliding with fashion that grew out of the Parkside Housing Development, which is the birthplace and mecca of hip hop. I wanted to shed light on how my generation is killing one another with gun violence, and through this collection, I hope to lighten things up by displaying a fashion show in our community.
