CFDA Announces Fashion Awards Nominees and Honourees

Catherine Holstein, Christopher John Rogers, LaQuan Smith, and Peter Do were nominated for the American Menswear Designer of the Year by the Council of Fashion Designers of America. The title went to Christopher John Rogers. The winners will be announced at the event, which will also be the 60th anniversary of the organization.

The nominees for Emerging Designer of the Year are: Elena Velez for Harwell Godfrey, Colm Dillane for KidSuper, and Bach Mai for Puppets and Puppets. Nominees for American Menswear Designer of the year are incumbent Emily Bode Aujla for Bode, Jeremy Lorenzo for Fear of God, Mike Amiri for Amiri, and Thom Browne for New York. Brother Vellies and 15 Percent Pledge founder Aurora James are among the nominees for accessory designer of the year by the CFDA.

The Board of Trustees Award will be given to the later Virgil Abloh, as well as being named the fashion icon of 2022. Law Roach will receive an award.
