A signature acoustic guitar with an eco-friendly build, a budget-friendly price, and a small size should make it the sort of instrument you take everywhere.
It’s not quite a travel guitar, but as a Junior-sized 000 with a short 24” scale, it’s a more manageable alternative for those who find larger-bodied acoustics unwieldy.
A sipo neck carved into a High Performance Taper is joined to the body with a mortice and tenon neck joint, and is topped with a 16” radius fingerboard.
A full acoustic electric guitar performance comes by way of the ubiquitous Fishman Sonitone pickup and preamplifier system, which is a Martin favourite at this price point. Martin has many features such as the scalloped X bracing under its top.

For some, and certainly for Mendes, the sustainable build is equally important. The gig bag it ships with was manufactured using plastic recovered from the ocean and is 100 per cent certified by the Forest Stewardship Council.
The signature details are there. There is a swallow engraved on the wings of the bridge bridge to match the tattoo on his right hand, and if you look inside the soundhole you will see a custom label too.
Some of the singer-songwriter’s lyrics have been hidden on the guitar, which is an Easter egg you might only notice if you clean it.

The Wonder of Music Program at The Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids) in Toronto will benefit from a charitable contribution by the Nazareth, Pennsylvania guitar company.
Music therapy, songwriting and other activities for children and their parents will be funded by the Wonder of Music Program.
It has been a dream to create this guitar with Martin. The Shawn Foundation’s initiatives are supported by the signature we created together, and it is something I am proud of musically. I am excited to share my guitar with fans around the world.
