“Greggs is the best food shop in the country because of this,” said one.

Thomas Cook

Thomas Cook posted a photo of the Queen, but their caption caused a stir.

They posted “safe travels, Ma’am” along with a yellow heart, which is part of their branding.

People pointed out the awkwardness of the travel group wishing the Queen “safe travels”.

One person wrote something along the lines of “No no no no no”

“I don’t think Thomas Cook thought it through,” said another.

British Kebab Awards

The British Kebab Awards might be the most unusual tribute of all.

They put out lovely messages rather than making jokes about the Queen’s favourite kebab.

“It is with great sadness that we acknowledge the passing of Her Majesty the Queen,” it said. She was our steward for 70 years. Thank you very much. It’s a sad day.

“I can’t believe this is how I find it,” wrote the stunned user in the replies.

If the kebab awards are posting it then it must be true. Tonight, I will get a Donner in her honor.

CrossFit UK

Rather than going for the classic tribute, global fitness brand CrossFit UK decided to pay their respects by posting a Queen themed workout.

It would be “fitting” to re-upload the training plan they had originally built to celebrate the Platinum Jubilee, said the popular exercise brand.

The number of years Her Majesty was on the throne was represented by 70 jumping lunges.

Her age at her coronation, when she was crowned, and how old she was when she died were some of the factors that were used to calculate other rounds of exercise.

In the middle of the routine, there was a one minute rest in silence.

One person claimed it was “unhinged stuff” and another said it was disrespectful to the Queen.

Met Office

Too many announcements about the weather would not be appropriate at this time, according to the Met Office.

The day after the Queen’s death, they said they would be limiting social media posts to weather forecasts and warnings only.

They are sad about the death of Queen Elizabeth II. Our thoughts are with her family and those affected.

We will only be posting warnings and daily forecasts during this time of national mourning.

Many people questioned whether it really was’respectful’ after the strange decision.

The Met Office said they were not posting any non-operational content.

“It is right at this sad time to stop other non-operational content that isn’t a forecast or warning, to ensure the public can focus on any potential impactful weather during this period,” they stated. I apologize for the confusion.
