Queen Elizabeth II Funeral: A Guide to Every Event

The funeral service for Queen Elizabeth II will be held on Monday, September 19 at 6 a.m. There is an event at the Abbey. The events leading up to her memorial are listed.

Thursday is D-Day.

Buckingham Palace announced that the Queen passed away on Thursday. The King and the Queen will return to London tomorrow after staying at Balmoral.

The new king said, “The death of my beloved Mother, Her Majesty The Queen, is a moment of greatest sadness for me and all my family.”

If she had died in London, the royal protocol known as “Operation London Bridge” would have taken effect; her death in Scotland enacted a plan known as “Operation Unicorn”.

The Commonwealth mourns on Friday, Sept. 9.

The Queen’s coffin was moved to the ballroom of the castle in Scotland. Helen Mirren, who won both a Tony Award and an Oscar for her portrayal of Queen Elizabeth, responded to the death of her friend.

“I am proud to be an Elizabethan,” she wrote. The epitome of nobility was a woman without a crown.

The world will meet King Charles III on Saturday, Sept. 10.

The State Apartments of St. James’s Palace in London were where King Charles III ascended the British throne.

After the death of Her, flags in Scotland, Northern Ireland and Wales were flown at half-staff until one hour after the Principal Proclamation at St James’s Palace.

The Queen is leaving Scotland on Sunday.

Three days after her death was announced, Her Majesty’s coffin began its journey. The Throne Room at the Palace of Holyroodhouse was where it rested until Monday afternoon after traveling from Edinburgh.

There was a vigil in Scotland on Monday.

A procession was formed on the forecourt of the Palace of Holyroodhouse to carry the coffin to St Giles’ Cathedral. King Charles III and members of the royal family attended a service in St Giles’ Cathedral to receive the coffin after a procession.

The people of Scotland were allowed to pay their respects after the coffin lay in rest in St Giles’ Cathedral.

The Queen is in London.

The coffin was taken by Royal Air Force aircraft from Edinburgh Airport to Northolt, where it was taken by Princess Royal. The coffin was taken by road to Buckingham Palace, where it was put down in the Bow Room.

A procession is going through London.

The Gun Carriage of the King’s Troop Royal Horse Artillery carried the Queen’s coffin to Buckingham Palace on Wednesday afternoon. The event went via Queen’s Gardens, The Mall, Horse Guards and Horse Guards Arch, and Parliament Street.

Prince Andrew and Prince Harry weren’t allowed to salute the late monarch’s coffin at the ceremony. King Charles III, Princess Anne, Prince William and others saluted the coffin while Harry and Andrew stood with their heads bowed.

The newly appointed Princess of Wales wore the queen’s diamond-and-pearl leaf brooch on her black Catherine Walker and Co. coatdress. The accessory was pointed out by The Court Jeweller, who said it was worn by Her Majesty in 1999.

She wore a pair of earrings gifted to her from the Queen, which she showed off as she kept her hair swept up into a bun and covered with a black top. In a touching moment, Harry was seen wiping away tears as he honored his late grandmother, and he curtseyed out of respect.

On Thursday, Sept. 15, London pays their respects.

The coffin will be Lie-in-State until the morning of the funeral.

There is a funeral on Monday, Sept. 19

The Lying-in-State will end on the morning of Monday, September 19th and the coffin will be taken in a procession to the State Funeral Service.

The coffin will travel to Wellington Arch after the funeral. The State Hearse will travel from Wellington Arch to Windsor, where it will be taken to St. George’s Chapel. St George’s Chapel will be where the Committal Service will take place.
