Bergdorf Goodman Celebrates W Magazine’s 50 Years in Fashion

There will be a series of eye-catching tributes to W this September on 5th Avenue. There is a red neon W just inside the revolving doors that shines a scarlet glow on anyone who looks at it.

W editor in chief Sara Moonves and model Precious Lee hosted a cocktail party at the store on Tuesday to celebrate five decades of fashion

Guests gathered on Bergdorf’s third floor, where W covers old and new cover the walls, and a “newsstand” stocked with piles of our September issue had been set up at the intersection of Proenza Schouler and Loewe. No one seemed to be showing any signs of Fashion Week fatigue: the crowd danced late into the evening to DJ Hindin-Miller’s blend of nostalgic and contemporary beats, sipping champagne and blood orange margaritas to refuel. The model was surprised with a cake by a baker known for her dairy-free confections because it was Lee’s birthday. Lee’s mom blew out her candle as the crowd cheered, as Lee wrapped up the night surrounded by close friends.
