The Lacombe Performing Arts Centre will host a concert by Ten02 on October 15.

At 7 p.m., there is a show. You can purchase tickets at the Mary C. Moore Public Library.

Ten02 launched their journey years back, and have been gathering steam ever since, releasing superb tunes and engaging with their fans. The songs about girls were released in March of 2020. Things were getting ready for a great season of getting those tunes out there but Caval hit and stopped live shows from happening.

It’s full steam ahead now.

Lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist Elijah Chauvet said that since March it has been full swing again. He said that the band had been on the road for a couple of tours in B.C. and a few more in between.

We feel like we’re making up for lost time by playing as much as we can.

They are very happy with the release of their single.

The song was produced by Mark Troyer.

A couple of years ago, the band was in the studio with Troyer who has worked with a lot of famous people, including Taylor Swift. The sessions were won by the band through a competition.

The tracks for Cherry Sunrise were laid down at that time. It took a while, but it has been worth it.

He said that they were fortunate to have studio time with Mark. He is very methodical in his work.

At some point in the early part of the next decade, Troyer will produce several more songs for the next full-length project by Ten-02.

We had to have him for the rest of the album because he worked well with us. We wanted to make sure we put out at least nine more songs that are similar to Cherry Sunrise, so that we can finish the album musically and aesthetically.

Music has been a passion for Chauvet for a long time, but his journey with Ten02.

He was a drummer in jazz and concert bands.

A new chapter was launched through meeting with mutual friends.

The band has a drummer, a guitarist, a keyboardist, and a bassist.

Diversity across the board strengthens and even defines Ten02’s distinctive and compelling style because each member tends to have a specific musical taste.

Chauvet said that they have vastly different tastes but have realized what their sound is. The drummer is into rap and grew up on hip hop and punk-pop.

The guitarist and bassist like metal. Like I am, our keyboardist is a huge fan of singer/songwriters. We know that we are the best in the alternative-rock/indie style. That is a genre that we all enjoy.

It doesn’t take much of a debate to decide which songs from their collection to record at a given time.

Chauvet said that they know how they sound, how they feel, and how the crowd reacts to them. It is almost as obvious to us as it is to you. It’s like a secret. We know if a song makes it or not.

The next concert is on Nov. 19
