Some 1960s TV shows had an effect on music. One of Fall Out Boy’s songs is based on a band’s song. A member of Fall Out Boy said the song is related to the movie.

You can do a lot with it. Hip-hop influences those things very much. Two hip-hop acts inspired their use of samples.

Pete Wentz talked about the origin of the song “Uma Thurman” in a 2015 interview. He said that they played the track to people. The process was treated like a DJ and producer would create a song.

The sample of the theme song was compared to a song by Dick Dale. We had the tracks done, and we were playing them to people, and they kept saying “Oh, Pulp Fiction” or “Oh, Dick Dale”

The sample of the theme sounded similar. Because of that, we were like, why don’t we write something like that? She appeared in two films by the same director.
