Briston Maroney sells out the Jefferson Theater with a combination of indie rock hits and ballads

There are many students who put Wednesday night homework aside to see Briston Maroney. Maroney was the opening act for the hit alternative folk band Rainbow Kitten Surprise.

Maroney has a unique sound that attracts audience members from all over the state. The audience was very friendly and warm at the concert. Maroney and his band are very excited to perform.

Alaskan band Medium build opened the concert with their energy and rustic look. Their sound consisted of bass, acoustic guitar, and a constant repeating synthesizer.

Medium build and Maroney’s sets had smoke and colorful lights. There was a disco ball that shot light around the theater.

This April, Maroney released his most recent album, “Sunflower:Deluxe.” It was an extension of his previous album, “Sunflower.” Six new original songs and a reworked cover are included in the album.

His newest song, “Paradise,” was one of the highlights from the setlist, along with “Freakin’ Out On The Interstate.” The setlist was balanced, as Maroney made time for his sentimental songs like “Fool’s Gold” and a letter to a childhood version of himself.

Exactly a year ago, Maroney and the band played at the Jefferson. It was the first time we all played together and we thought we did poorly. Thank you for coming back.

As the song trended on TikTok, the crowd was especially excited about it, as the song jump-start Maroney’s music career. The song became popular among online communities who emphasized an outdoorsy and care free aesthetic.

His discography almost feels like a diary because of his emphasis on telling stories in his writing. The majority of his songs have a rock feel to them, but they are written with care and thought.

The anxiety of the build-up to a party is discussed in the roller coaster. The pre-chorus is very tense and angsty until the relief of the chorus comes in. Maroney was so passionate that he backed away from the mic to belt out the lyrics.

Maroney is well-known for his love songs. Maroney talks about his hesitations when getting into a relationship and trying to do the right thing. He sings, “So if you want to, maybe we ought to, but we don’t have to, I won’t if you won.”

The song “It’s Still Cool If You Don’t” is a contrast to the song “Freeway” where Maroney admits his love to a partner. The crowd was encouraged to flip someone off by Maroney because of the chorus suggestion.

There is a new take on Maroney’s love for guitar in the July 2022 track “Paradise” The song “Paradise” talks about the need to remain genuine when you are young, offering a carpe diem attitude with lyrics like, “How easy would it be to put the nine-to-five behind?”

Maroney and his band let loose when they played “Paradise” There were four people in the band and all of them were loud.

It was clear that Maroney’s band enjoyed performing together. The band was completely lost in the music.

The concert was enjoyable and the musicians love their job. Maroney has a unique talent for portraying his personality on stage while also showing his musical talent. He will be in the U.S. through the beginning of November.
