Detroit auto show offers more than just cars in summer return

For the first time in decades, the North American International Auto Show is taking place in the summer.

Hart Plaza was filled with thousands of people on opening day for hot cars and family fun.

In addition to traditional vehicle displays showcasing the latest models of automakers from around the world, this year’s auto show features a number of attractions that have less to do with cars and more to do with fun.

This is the first auto show of its kind.

There’s what to look for at the Detroit auto show.

On Saturday, families took selfies in front of a 60-foot-tall rubber duck and children were happy to wander near a realistic tyrannosaurus rex.

There will be monster truck shows, drone flights and ride-and-drive experiences during the event.

There are new attractions that offer something for everyone with the change from January to September.

Non-car-enthusiasts can enjoy these things at the Detroit auto show. The hours are 9 a.m. to 9 pm. At 7 p.m., the showroom closes. The 25th of September. There is a full schedule of events at naias. You can buy tickets for $20, $12 for those 65 and older and $10 for 3-12 year olds. A family pass is $50.

This is the first thing. You have to hustle yourself up.

The world’s largest rubber duck is in Detroit for the auto show. It has drawn a lot of attention and has been a source of amusement for visitors. Take a picture with a duck and post it on social media.

There are two You can star in your own strip.

In the heart of the auto show floor, Chevrolet has set up a photo booth that will allow you to choose your own adventure with a Chevy Silverado and turn it into a comic strip, with you as the star. You can send the strip to yourself by email or texting.

There are three. It’s time to get prehistoric.

There are life-size dinosaurs of all shapes and sizes, including a multi-story brontosaurus, and some that might bite or trip you if you are not careful. There is an arts and crafts station and a large play area for small children. There are also toys for sale.

There are four. A puppy is available for adoption.

Dogs in need of a home will be brought to the auto show by Michigan Humane. Each day there will be a rotation of different dogs. People can visit and play with them and talk with professionals about how to make them a part of the family. There is an area on the show floor that looks like it is part of a national park.

There are five. Go and eat.

Food is always on hand. From food trucks outside the venue to the convention center’s various indoor eating establishments, you’re never far from an opportunity to snack or eat. Leave with a coney.
