Prince William and his father, King Charles III, made a surprise appearance at the funeral of Queen Elizabeth II.

People from all over the world have joined the line that goes from the Palace of Westminster to the park in southeast London, with authorities warning the wait could take more than 16 hours.

Many mourners who spent the night outside to hold their spots in line were encouraged by the Royals.

Prince William told the people in the line that they were more than halfway there and joked with them.

While Queen Elizabeth II is visiting, Prince William is keeping royal kids in school.

He said that his grandmother wouldn’t have believed the amount of support she had received.

The prince spoke to the women in the line and thanked them for coming.

The king’s appearance was a hit and he received three cheers of “hip-hip hooray” when he arrived.

The relationship between Queen Elizabeth II and Princess Diana are similar to that of Prince William and Prince Harry.

The king left before his son.
