Fitness Boxing: Fist of the North Star is a game that will be released on the Nintendo Switch in 2019. The Nintendo Direct was published by Imagineer. The player uses the Joy-Con motion controllers to box in tune to the music and give the player a workout based on a variety of factors. The player’s age, height and weight are included.
The game is a full-on remake of the original Fist of the North Star game. Kenshiro is a martial artist who practices the Hokuto Shinken. The cult classic became a fan favorite in the West and influenced many other shounen shows for a long time to come. This popularity and emphasis on punching enemies makes it a good fit with Fitness Boxing.
The game will be released in March of 2023. Some of the strongest characters in the game will teach players how to box to the beat and train themselves in “Exercise Mode” as the trailer calls it. The killer of Hokuto Shinken is Kenshiro. The workouts can be daily and players will get a better score if they are precise with their punches.
The game is more than just a game of practicing punches and dodges. Taking on waves of enemies, like his foster brother Jagi, is one thing. Some of the big bads and enemies from the series are likely to be encountered by players.
Many fans were disappointed that the Nintendo Switch wasn’t getting a proper game based on the series, even though they were happy to see it get some love. The last console game based on the series was “Fist of the North Star: Lost Paradise” by Ryu Ga Gotoku.
The Nintendo Switch will be getting a fitness boxing game in March of 2023.
