The song is on Sky Blue vinyl.

Over the years, the influence of Townes Van Zandt has spread far and wide. The Texas-born artist rose to fame in the ’70s thanks to his blend of blues, country, and folk, along with a poetic brand of storytellers. Many of his fellow writers recorded their own versions of his songs.

After battling demons throughout his life, the artist was finally able to have a stable family life with his wife and son. In March 1987, nine years after the release of his previous album, Flyin’ Shoes, Van Zandt was ready to make a new one. An all-star line-up of talent, including producers Jack Clement and Jim Rooney, as well as a host of Nashville’s best musicians, was put together by the artist. Willie Nelson had a harmonica player named Mickey Raphael. They recorded a collection of reflective and intimate songs about love and heartbreak.

Fans and music critics welcomed At My Window immediately after it was released. The album was well received. The New York Times said his work was the “direct, untrammeled expression of a man’s soul.” The 35th anniversary edition of At My Window has been re-mastered by Kevin Gray at Cohearent Audio and is limited to 6,000 copies.

Silverstein’s Arrival and Departures is a 7-inch vinyl record on green marble.

Silverstein has been at the forefront of the hardcore scene thanks to their dynamic mix of melody and aggression. When broken is easily fixed and discovering the waterfront were the two bestselling albums of the band. Arrivals & Departures was one of the most anticipated titles of the year when it was recorded.

Arrivals & Departures was released in 2007. The band worked with a producer and engineer named Mark Trombino, who helped broaden their work with pop songs and guitar hooks. There was an impressive mix of growls and clean vocals from the front man. The singles “If You Could See into My Soul” and “Still Dreaming” and dynamic highlights such as “Sound of the Sun” and “Worlds Apart” made Arrivals & Departures a hit. This is the Silverstein everyone has been waiting to hear and it’s a reward.

The 15th anniversary edition of Arrivals & Departures is pressed on Green Opaque Marble vinyl and has a booklet with it. There is a bonus 7-inch on Translucent Green vinyl with the tracks “Rain Will Fall” and “Falling Down” released on the limited edition of the original CD.

The Sword is on a 180- gram Cosmic Yellow swirl vinyl record.

The Sword was at the forefront of the retro-metal movement after forming in the early aughts. In the next few years, the four-piece continued that trajectory, gaining flocks of fans around the globe with releases such as 2008’s Gods of the Earth and the 2010 concept album, Warp Riders. The members of The Sword were about to embark on a new phase in their careers.

Apocryphon was the group’s debut on the label Razor & Tie and their first recording with drummer Santiago “Jimmy” Vela III. There were no instrumental tracks on The Sword’s first album. It was produced with J. Robbins. Apocryphon found the band going further into stoner rock and embracing an arena-sized sound. The band moved away from the fantasy world of their previous albums on the new record. They focused on the themes of the apocalypse and the mysterious cycle of life, death, and rebirth instead.

Apocryphon was a critical and commercial success. The album was praised by the likes of Magnet, AllMusic, Loudwire, and Consequence of Sound, which hailed Apocryphon as “Heavy metal distilled to its purest form.” Greg Calibri’s original high-resolution master was used for the high-resolution lacquers for the 10th anniversary edition. The album is housed in a gatefold jacket with artwork by J.H. Williams III and is limited to 5,000 copies.

Jazz Dispensary is a record by Various Artists.

Jazz Dispensary returns with a collection of music that explores the furthest depths of outer space and the human mind. The music that stimulates the senses is culled from the mid-1970s catalogs of Mongo Santamara, and more.

The Cannonball Adderley Quartet made a jam called “Phases”. Woody Herman’s “La Fiesta” and “Desert Cry” are the next two pieces of music. Stretching time and space is a 1974 song called “Silver Sword”, which features Carlos Santana. Side B opens with Mongo Santamara’s “Los Indios” and Cal Tjader’s “Mambo Mindoro.” Gene Ammons’ poignant rendition of “Strange Fruit” and Barbara Lewis’ performance of “The Windmills of Your Mind” are the last two tracks.

The Best of Korla Pandit is a one-LP vinyl record.

The golden age of TV was when Korla Pandit led viewers on journeys to distant places with his music. He was dubbed the “godfather of Exotica” because he was born in New Delhi to a French opera singer and an Indian government worker. After his death in 1998, it was revealed that he was actually John Redd. Redd moved to Los Angeles in the early 40’s in order to join the Musicians Union, which did not allow Black artists at the time. Redd was able to stand out from his peers thanks to his new musical persona. He played the role of Korla Pandit on and off stage.

In 1949, the musician brought his act to the small screen. The first all-music program on TV was hosted by Korla Pandit and featured the artist playing the piano and the organ at the same time. Although he refrained from speaking at first, he soon incorporated spirituality into his shows. He released 13 albums with Fantasy Records between 1959 and 1963, including Tropical Magic and Music for Hollywood.

The Best of Korla Pandit is the first anthology of the artist’s Fantasy Records work. The collection includes original compositions such as “Turkish Dance” and “Magnetic Theme” which were written by Korla Pandit. There are a number of pop covers in the collection.
