There are two It’s time to bounce.
The birthplace of house music is hosting its very own Chicago House Music Festival and Conference, showcasing local and national DJs and live performances. The event will be partnering with a number of organizations to raise awareness and appreciation for the genre.
There are details at 5 pm. The hours are Wednesday, 4:30- 9 p.m. Saturday is 3-6 p.m. Admission is free at Millennium Park.

“The Lion King” and “Cats” will be shown at the Lincoln Park Zoo in celebration of the opening of the Alamo Drafthouse cinema in Chicago. Two pairs of tickets to see The Lion King in Chicago will be given away at the event.

The Cuervo Tradictional Agave Bar is coming to the Chicago area and there is a celebration at Big Star. The two-day event will feature a collection of foods and live music.

The 23rd Annual Englewood Jazz Festival takes place at Hamilton Park and is a celebration and tribute to jazz music. Jazz legends and rising stars will perform at the festival.
6 p.m. is the time The park is at 513 W 72nd St.

The annual block party will feature pizza from Bungalow and DJ sets from Whitney and Numero Group.
3 p.m. is the time There is a Saturday at the Middle brow bungalow. Admission is free.

Attendees of the Sam Adams Lakeview taco fest can fill their tortillas with chicken, steak, chorizo, beef or other ingredients from eight local eateries. Special beer and taco combinations will be included at the festival.
There is a $10 suggested donation on the weekend on the street.

During Hispanic Heritage Month, the festival brings Mexican art, music, and food to the forefront. enowned local musical acts and artwork from artist Gabriel Villa will be on display at the festival.

The open boulevards series is back in action. The Bronzeville neighborhood will have a section of the boulevard closed off for residents to walk, bike, scoot, socialize and have fun.
