The images are of something.
The Washington State Patrol is looking for a group of people who are throwing debris at drivers.
State troopers say that over the last month, five cars were hit with rocks and bottles. The vehicle’s exterior was damaged along with many windows.
A former police officer said they don’t know how much crime is happening.
There is a photo out there of an individual that the community believes is the person doing it. No one has observed this individual throw anything, so we want to speak to anyone that has been a victim of this. We didn’t have a reason to arrest the individual because there wasn’t anyone to witness it.
The local community has taken to social media to share photos of the man they say is behind the attacks, as well as placing signs throughout the area warning drivers of the incidents.
There have been no serious injuries.
Johnson said that they wanted to put an end to this. “We respond to and investigate every report that we get and we hope that putting this out there will encourage people to go and give us a call.”
It started with the suspect throwing water bottles, but has since grown to include throwing rocks and other heavy objects.
As of this reporting, troopers are following up on leads on social media.
Johnson said that they wanted to put this to rest so they didn’t have any more damage or accidents. If you have something to hit your car, it could startle you and cause you to go off the road.
