5 Healthy Habits Viola Davis Swears by To Look Amazing at 57

The epitome of beauty is Viola Davis. She looks better at 57 years old. When she signed on for The Woman King, she took her health to a new level because she had always been in great shape.

Davis talked about how the movie changed her in a recent interview. I felt like my femininity could not be created with this canvas. With this role, my muscles, my arms, my thick legs, my heavy voice were perfect. I didn’t feel bad about it. Sometimes you do a movie and then it’s over, but I celebrated it in a lot of different ways. Sometimes you do a movie and it makes you think. It’s a little bit better for you. It’s been that way for me with the training.

Davis was training for The Woman King when her trainer wanted her and the other women to gain more strength. Davis had to eat more throughout the day in order to achieve this.

Mclain told People Magazine that she didn’t want them to lose a lot of weight. They were consuming five meals a day. They had to drink a gallon of water a day and each of them had a different plan for their nutrition.

It’s difficult to say if Davis has stuck to eating five meals a day after filming ended, but based on what she has said about how training for the movie “shifted her a bit,” she may very well be taking this nutrition advice with her.

Davis was nominated for an Oscar for her performance in Black Bottom. Davis gained a bit of weight to get in shape for the role. When The Woman King training began, Mclain said that she was in regular Viola shape because she trained three times a week and eats clean.

As soon as Davis finished Black Bottom, she began to lose weight and build strength for The Woman King. Mclain told the New York Post that she put Davis on a plant-based diet.

A functional movement is an exercise that mimics real-life strength scenarios. The exercises involve multiple muscle groups at the same time.

Davis and the other actors from Woman King did functional movements on a regular basis because the actresses had days full of movement on set, according to Mclain. Strength training, weight lifting, and high intensity workouts were done because of this.

Davis was trained multiple times a week with an emphasis on doing a variety of different types of exercises.

We usually do a kickboxing cardio-style workout on Mondays. On Wednesdays, we work on strength, heavy weights, medicine balls, lots of legs, upper body, and always core, focusing on her punches and kicks. On Fridays, the focus is on trying to build strong and fast legs with resistance bands and ankle weights.
